The Myers Park Field Hockey team has joined hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled Play4theCure, in which sports teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to NFCR.
Myers Park will be raising funds during their games versus Reagan on October 15, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at EB Moore park field.
“Our team is very excited to be hosting a Play4theCure game. What better way to celebrate field hockey than by raising money to support cancer research. Not only is it fun to wear pink and eat pink baked goods, but it’s a great feeling for our team to do some good at the same time,” said fundraising coordinator, Erica Adcock.
