Bicyclist exposing himself to women in Charlotte | News
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A serial flasher is on the loose, exposing himself to women while riding a bicycle, according to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police.
There have been at least three incidents since February 1.
The first incident happened last Wednesday at 2000 South Boulevard around 3:30 pm.
In that case, a 57-year-old woman said that a man was exposing himself while in a public area.
The man struck twice on Sunday, February 5 just 90 minutes apart.
The first sighting was at 400 E. Park Ave., where a 33-year-old woman told police she was walking her dog when the suspect "exposed his private area as he rode by her on his bicycle."
Laura Winters walks her dog daily in the same area who told WBTV she was, "very surprised. You think that your neighborhood is safe and you can freely walk around without any problems. So when something comes up like this, you get concerned."
Less than 2 hours later, the man was spotted at 500 S. Cedar Street at 2:03 pm, police say.
A 30-year-old woman told police that the suspect exposed himself riding a bicycle at the time of the indecent exposure.
The latest incident happened just a few blocks from Johnson and Wales University.
Students told WBTV they can't believe someone would be so bold.
"He's really bold for doing it during the daytime, too," said Brittany Huggins, a freshman. 'It's lighter outside. People can see you."
Police only have a vague description of the man. They say he is white, has a slim build in looks to be in 30 to 40 years old.
